About Me

Born and raised in France, I spent much of my life moving from one place to another, first following my parents’ career moves, and later taking opportunities as they came with my life partner and my cat.

Along the way, I have had the chance to experience life in several French cities (Paris, Le Gosier, Marseille, Clermont-Ferrand, Lyon, and Grenoble), European cities (Eindhoven and Prague), and American ones (San Francisco and New York City).

All that moving taught me how to start over, adapt quickly, and stay curious about how people live and think in different places. More recently, though, it has also given me a growing desire to put down roots in one place for the next ten years or so.

Professionally, I have been a Computer Vision / Machine Learning / Deep Learning engineer and scientist for more than a decade. It all started with a few outstanding professors at École Centrale de Lyon, whose courses struck a good balance between rigor and clarity and introduced me to signal processing, image processing, and information theory. What was, at the time, a relatively niche field of study for me has since become one of the technologies reshaping our everyday lives, much to my surprise.

Outside of technology and science, I enjoy spending my free time traveling and hiking, particularly backpacking through remote regions and immersing myself in natural landscapes.

I played basketball on my university team, which shaped my core values: when there is an opportunity, position yourself clearly; move the ball quickly; communicate beyond words through eye contact and mutual trust; anticipate where the ball needs to be next; support each other; and have each other’s backs.

I’ve always been drawn to storytelling and live performance (musicals, stand-up comedy, theater) and I performed in several musicals and amateur theater productions as an actress and singer. I also produced and directed an original musical with a group of musical theater enthusiasts, taking it from idea to stage. The production was later selected by the MPAA, which supported and funded additional performances.

So, somewhere between computer vision, hiking, basketball, performing arts, living abroad, that’s me.
